I've heard a lot of talk lately about angry mobs and burning down wall street. Citizens, you are equally to blame in this mess. We took our eye off the ball. We trusted our representatives but didn't call them to task. We accepted what we heard on television or radio or the internet but didn't do any fact finding research. Citizens in a republic or democracy have a responsibility to keep those in power from abusing us. Our Constitution provides for a lot of these protections, but only so long as we demand that our leaders adhere to it's words. This is an interesting article concerning who is to blame. It is long but take the time to read it. When you are done, don't run off with pitchfork in hand. Instead, begin to enlighten yourself about the ways of government. Don't blame political parties, they are only instruments that can serve a vehicle to representation or as a roadblock to it. In the end, we live free only as long as we don't allow ourselves to be enslaved. This means we take time out from our busy days and do our duty to ourselves to learn about how things really work. http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/story/26793903/the_big_takeover/print
