If you have been evicted from your homeland in mass and forced on a death march to a strange land, on a trail of tears, someone has tried to cancel your culture.
If your people have been enslaved, and after slavery have been kept systematically illiterate, poor and refused equal rights, someone has tried to cancel your culture.
If you are targeted by police, hate groups and general society to the point where you are afraid you may be murdered because of who you are, someone has tried to cancel your culture.
If you or your ancestors had to give up your name, your language, your religion or your freedom because the dominant culture fears or disdains your people's otherness, someone has tried to cancel your culture.
If someone points out that your culture has historically been savage to other cultures to the point of doing the things listed above, your culture has not been canceled, it has been offered an opportunity to redeem itself.
