I know the economy is tough, but when we Roman soldiers are not out conquering Gauls, we have to find other means to make a living. Honestly, building roads and bridges gets a bit tough when you are nearing your 20th year of service in the military. Some of us take on janitorial tasks to make ends meet. Others like me volunteer our services to museums so we can write it off on our taxes as a public service. Mostly we stand around and pose for pictures with tourists who can't tell the difference between a professional Marius's Mule like myself and a run of the mill gladiator! Do I look like a slave to you? That is pure Campanian blood running through these veins! Now I find out my brothers in Rome are getting harassed by state officials! Politics! Pah! These guys are union card carrying members of Legio Gemini XIII! Tourists need to show more respect! If it wasn't for us you'd all be speaking some barbaric language like Parthian! Stand strong my brothers! Stand strong! Click here for the link
