I think what amazes me about ancient Egypt is how many nut-burger theories there are about its origins and durability. The Egyptians didn't come from space aliens. They were not around 25,000 years ago! Some of the theories I see from people who dream about life in ancient Egypt clearly demonstrate that the person has never visited the country or has any awareness of Egyptian religion, politics or culture. The real ancient Egypt is far more interesting for what it was than for what it was not. Recent articles are pushing research to show how much a road the Nile river really was. A sophisticated series of canals around the capitol city Thebes really exemplifies how sophisticated the Egyptians were when it came to using the resources available to them. See the link here

Neat article about an odd Roman building in Norfolk, England. Also gives a brief narrative about Boudicca. Click Here!
This is a good link that talks about art and culture in ancient Cyprus. Cypriot art shows signs of influence from many of the surrounding ancient cultures and is perhaps less well known than the Minoan, Mycenean, and Egyptian cultures that influenced it. Click here for the link.
Some pretty neat sketches by ancient Egyptian workers. Wondering what your male Medieval ancestor was doing in the 13th century in England? Perhaps he was getting ready for battle. Check here to see if he is registered.
Here is a nice website explaining how the Antikytheran device works. Click Here
